The parasite lives in the intestines of dogs, and transmission occurs through the eggs excreted in the dog's feces. Be mindful of where children play outdoors to avoid exposure to the eggs causing toxocariasis.
When children touch objects contaminated with the eggs, the eggs can enter their bodies and pose health risks. Some symptoms in humans related to toxocariasis include fever, cough, enlarged liver, skin rashes, and swollen lymph nodes.
